Synergy Summit: Faculty, Industry, and AI Shaping Future Education

Friday, October 31, 2025

8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

LSU Lod Cook Conference Center, Noland-Laborde Ballroom

Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the global workforce, transforming how industries operate and redefining the skills needed for success. From healthcare and finance to manufacturing and marketing, AI is being integrated into daily workflows to drive efficiency, innovation, and decision-making. The demand for professionals who can understand, apply, and ethically manage these technologies continues to grow. As AI tools become more accessible and powerful, the ability to work alongside intelligent systems is emerging as a fundamental skill across nearly every sector.

In response to this shift, higher education institutions face a critical responsibility: preparing students not only to navigate an AI-enhanced workplace but to lead within it. This event brings together industry leaders and AI experts to engage directly with faculty about the evolving demands of the job market. Through discussion and collaboration, we aim to explore how curricula, pedagogy, and campus strategies can evolve to equip students with the technical competencies, ethical frameworks, and adaptability required in the age of AI. The goal is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry needs, ensuring our graduates are ready for the opportunities and challenges of a rapidly transforming economy.
