August 6, 2025
Welcome to the 2025 fall term! As we move into the new academic year, we would like to share a few details about what we have been working on in LSU Academic Technology.
Updates to Proctoring Services
The following changes will be effective starting with the fall 2025 semester:
- Proctoring fees: For students enrolled in LSU Online (Baton Rouge) program courses, fees for proctoring through Honorlock, ProctorU Live+, and ProctorU Review+ will now be included in LSU Online tuition. These students will no longer pay an additional fee for these proctoring services during their course. Instructors teaching LSU Online (Baton Rouge) courses are responsible for updating their course materials—including syllabus statements and exam sections—to reflect this change. Students in LSU A&M (on-campus) courses remain responsible for paying any applicable proctoring costs out of pocket.
- Departments available for these services in each tool: The department selection within the proctoring services will set the payment method. Note that ProctorU’s Record+ service is not included in the institutional pay model and should no longer be used for LSU Online courses.
