Dear Instructors:
We wanted to remind you that we are still in our summer Moodle maintenance period and review how this affects your Fall 2026 courses.
Here is the broad timeline:
- May 20 (complete): All course data was moved to the new host environment, available at our temporary address, https://moodle4.lsu.edu (opens in new tab) .
- July (ongoing): Fall courses have been created at moodle4.lsu.edu.
- August 11 (upcoming): Grades are due at 9:00 AM CDT for 2026 Summer and 2026 Summer 2 courses taught at https://moodle.lsu.edu.
PLEASE NOTE: Any grades not posted by the August 11 deadline will not be available on August 12, so please be sure to export the grades so that they can be posted in Workday if you cannot meet the August 11 deadline. For help with exporting grades, please see GROK 20357, How to Export the Gradebook (opens in new tab) . - August 12 (upcoming): The summer maintenance period will conclude. At that point, all courses (except 2026 Summer, Summer 1, and Summer 2) will be available at https://moodle.lsu.edu (opens in new tab) , and https://moodle4.lsu.edu (opens in new tab) will redirect there. Users will see no difference in Moodle.
Important reminders:
- Please check to make sure your students do not have missing grades before posting to Workday.
- If any I-grades were issued in 2026 Spring and Summer course(s), please see our faculty support article Moodle Plan for Incomplete Grade Data (opens in new tab) for more information.
- 2026 Summer and Summer 2 term courses will appear in Moodle later in the fall semester. Please let students know that any I-grade work in Moodle must pause until those courses are available.
- Course preparation for Fall 2026 can begin at moodle4.lsu.edu. If any changes to courses currently in moodle.lsu.edu were made after May 20, those changes are not present in moodle4.lsu.edu and must be duplicated or imported to moodle4.lsu.edu by August 11.
- Check that all LTI external tools are functioning on moodle.lsu.edu after August 12.
